My largest readership is in Texas (interestingly, followed by CA, NC, NY!). Since January 2021, the Socialist-Marxist regime in Washington, directed by Shadowbama and his puppet, the Criminal, Joe Biden, has decided that the path to destroy America lies through the great state of Texas. In the process, Texas as we know it will also be destroyed. Two birds with one stone, so to speak. It appears, however, that the moment of reckoning is nigh.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott can be credited with providing Woke Marxists in northeastern cities with the opportunity to demonstrate their claims, backed with empathy and tears of concern, to be sanctuaries for illegal aliens – felons – in real time. Now mayors of those cities, and the idiots who voted for them, cannot stop whining. Typical Progressive hypocrites with allegator mouths and hummingbird asses! But Abbott’s so called “political stunt” brought the illegal alien reality of Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and El Paso (run by another Woke Marxist mayor) to them.
Governor Abbott has also attempted to use other methods to block entry into his state without much success and always opposed by the Socialist-Marxist regime. Recently, however, he has upped the ante on Shadowbama. Large shipping containers along the banks of the Rio Grande adorned with double rows of concertina wire (known as “razor wire” to the ignorant, sensationalist Marxist media), and Texas National Guardsmen (and Guardswomen) ready to escort to jail those who do get in. (Personally, I think Abbott should have done this three years ago.)
These actions, of course, sent Shadowbama crying to the Supreme Court to tell Greggy he cannot protect his own state. Incredibly, unbelievably the Supreme Court voted not only against Texas, but against America. Shame on you Justice Amy Coney Barrett, you are a faux conservative and an absolute disgrace.
I predict it will not be long before the Legacy Media begins to compare Texas and the 25 Republican Governors who support Abbott to the southern Democrats in 1860-61 who thumbed their noses at President Lincoln over their right to secede or to the southern Democrats who fought against desegregation in the 1960s. Neither example nor a follow-on lesson about nullification theory are apropos.
The question remains, however, what is Texas, or any other border state, supposed to do? Section IV, Article IV of the U.S. Constitution is quite clear that the Federal government “shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” The Federal and/or Democratic State governments have failed on all three of these declarations.
And Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 is also clear that “the States” shall not without the consent of Congress “ keep Troops, or Ships of War, in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State … or encourage War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.”
I predict that some brilliant soul, in an effort to defend our feckless Federal government, will claim that the “protect each of them against Invasion” clause meant against invasion from a foreign army. With calls from Marxist Democrats in Congress for Shadowbama to seize control of the Texas National Guard via manipulation of the Posse Comitatus Act, I predict the only military invasion will be from our own lawless, tyrannical government.[1]
In a letter of 24 January 2024, Governor Abbott stated, “The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States. The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now. President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them. The result is that he has smashed records for illegal immigration.”[2]
Abbott argued further that if the Federal government does not enforce immigration laws, thereby generating an invasion of illegal aliens, and then fails to execute Federal authority as per Section IV, Article IV of the U.S. Constitution, then Texas, indeed all states, not only has the right, but an inherent duty to protect herself from invasion.
Although every Democratic governor should join with those 25 Republican governors in supporting Abbott’s sovereign right to protect Texas from invasion, I predict they will support Federal fascist tyranny and precipitate a civil war just as the Democrats did in 1861.
