The absurd COVID vaccine mandate enforced by Biden’s toadies in the Pentagon has stopped seven patriotic Americans from serving their country,[1] requests for religious exemptions be damned.[2]
Please do not misunderstand. As a physician I understand very well the need for vaccinations to preclude a variety of communicable diseases among military recruits. Indeed, the danger of putting youngsters, who are immunologically naïve to the disease mix encountered at boot camp, together in barracks has been understood since the Spanish-American War. Those joining the U.S. military voluntarily give up their right to reject required, and highly effective, immunizations. Effective vaccines prevent disease and provide herd immunity which protects the small number of those requesting religious exemption. Herein lies the rub with COVID vaccines: they are not efficacious; they DO NOT PREVENT disease! Moreover, vaccine side effects are being discovered from inadequate human trials precluded by a rush to production.
Those wishing to serve in the military and professional tennis players must be vaccinated with a worthless vaccine, but illegal aliens do not. Those illegals, not tested or vaccinated, may be bringing COVID into the U.S. But since COVID is now ENDEMIC in our country and herd immunity is increasing, the CDC and state public health officials should be more concerned with the non-endemic diseases brought into the U.S. by the thousands walking across our border.
Now White House Press Secretary, Katrine Jean-Pierre, has declared that illegal aliens are not walking across our border, that is just not happening, the border is secure. When Peppermint Patty (aka Jen Psaki) told these lies with a straight face one could become incensed. When Katrine, with her cherubic face and that Medusa-meets-Little Orphan Annie hairdo, regurgitates them, one can only wonder what sadistic bastard sent this poor, ignorant child out to do battle with Peter Doocy?
But I digress.
There are many insect-borne diseases south of the border which have on occasion crossed over into southwestern states through regular commerce (see Table).

All the vectors required to transmit the diseases in that table exist in the United States. Indeed, we have seen vector-borne disease importation before. During the Korean War, returning veterans brought malaria into California. In 1975 President Ford “authorized the entry of 125,000 Vietnamese refugees into the country, and by 1980 about 2,400 of them were living in various parts of North Carolina. A ‘second wave’ of these immigrants in the 1980s consisted of ‘boat people,’ most of whom were semiliterate farmers and fishermen and small-town merchants.”[3] The immigrants brought malaria to North Carolina.
However, with thousands of illegal aliens, potentially infected with these diseases, walking across our border daily and being dispersed throughout the country, the potential to be much more problematic than COVID. Moreover, these illegals could bring in influenza and tuberculosis, and, potentially, typhoid fever from Haiti.
Many U.S. physicians would not recognize those vector-borne diseases above or typhoid fever because they are not endemic to our country. If Anthony Fauci and the CDC were truly interested in the health of Americans, they would be discussing the potentiality of these maladies instead of supporting Biden’s Socialist/Marxist agenda and Pfizer and Moderna Pharmaceuticals.
